The primary purpose of the Infection Preventionist’s job is to oversee the planning, organization, development, direction, and evaluation of the infection prevention and control program throughout the Community in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations. This includes ensuring that current standards of practice related to infection prevention and control are incorporated in resident care and employee actions and identifying Community training needs based on infection surveillance and process/outcome measurement, developing training plans and materials, as well as evaluating efficacy of training provided. You will also assess resident's needs, develop an individualized care plan, administer nursing care, evaluate nursing care, and supervise nursing assistants and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our community, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services or designee to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Follows all health, sanitary, and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:
- Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN within the state in which you work.
- Maintain an active CPR or BLS Certification.
- Be qualified by education, training, experience certification, or a combination of these to meet the position requirements.
- Must have completed (or complete within first week of hire) specialized training in infection prevention and control, including state-specific training required.
- Must have basic computer skills and ability to navigate/learn to navigate various software programs, including Learning Management software and the electronic health record.
- Must be able to communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position/assignment.
- Minimum two (2) years of RN/LPN experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or other related healthcare facility, preferably in long term care.
- Experience teaching or training adult learners and have prior experience/training in Infection Prevention and Control processes preferred.
- Management experience preferred.

- Shifts Needed: 7:00a - 3:00p
- On Call Rotating Weekends
- Wage: Starting at $38.00 per hour
