Sabel Systems is seeking a PLM Database Administrator to support the implementation, administration, and optimization of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions for our customers. In this role, you will work on the System Administration team to provide technical expertise in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of PTC Windchill environments, helping customers maximize the value of their PLM investment while improving system performance, usability, and long-term scalability. You will work closely with customers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable PLM solutions that support mission-critical engineering and product development initiatives.

In this role, you will work on the System Administration team to provide technical expertise in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of PTC Windchill environments, helping customers maximize the value of their PLM investment while improving system performance, usability, and long-term scalability. You will work closely with customers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable PLM solutions that support mission-critical engineering and product development initiatives.
What You’ll Do
As a specialized Database Administrator at Sabel Systems, you will:
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing administration of PTC Windchill PDMLink and associated modules
- Help bridge the gap between database health and systems infrastructure, specifically around the PTC Windchill application suite
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Windchill environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Monitor server health and performance utilizing SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and SQL Server Agent to ensure high availability for Windchill services.
- Build, test, and deploy PLM solutions using industry best practices
- Support data migrations, legacy system transitions, and system transformation initiatives
- Perform DISA STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guides) activites for SQL Server instances
- Maintain user permissions, encryption, and conduct regular audits to maintain compliance
- Design and implement automated SQL Server backup strategies and lead regular testing of disaster recovery protocols
- Optimize server-level settings, manage indexing, and analyze execution plans to resolve database bottlenecks.
- Support systems administration for PTC Windchill, ensuring the application layer and the SQL database are perfectly synchronized.
- Support working groups, technical meetings, and customer engagement activities
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to support long-term sustainment
- Train and mentor users to improve adoption and effective utilization of Windchill
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration and future capability enhancements
- Perform other duties as assigned
