Who We Need
We are seeking a highly skilled remote Digital Engineer with extensive experience in DoD acquisition, systems engineering, and digital transformation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), DevSecOps , and digital acquisition strategies. This role requires a thought leader capable of driving engineering process improvements, aligning with enterprise IT strategies, and integrating secure lifecycle management practices for both hardware and software solutions. The Digital Engineer will be working remotely on a cross-functional Agile team comprised of Scrum Masters, Jira / Confluence Subject Matter Experts, a Full Stack Developer , a Front End Developer , a Data Scientist / Engineer, a MBSE tools SME, and an Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Engineer. The Digital Engineer must be able to work independently as well as develop innovative solutions with teammates via MS Teams calls, chat and email. The ideal candidate will be motivated to learn and continuously improve and grow as a team. Company-paid travel to customer site in Los Angeles or Colorado Springs to provide product demonstrations may be required on occasion - no more than 10% travel per year.

- Acting as Chief Engineer (CE), you will provide leadership & expertise throughout various DoD programs in compliance with DoD policy .
- Lead Systems Engineering , Digital Transformation , and Acquisition initiatives from concept development to lifecycle sustainment .
- Engineer Governance Process Improvement .
- Provide Research, Analysis, and Recommendations for Enterprise Information Technology (IT) Implementation Harmonization .
- Develop, review, and present MBSE Cameo artifacts to engineering, finance, contracting, and logistics teams.
- Present processes and artifacts to client on application of MBSE for DoD acquisition, sustainment, acquisition and sustainment digitalization, and automating workflows .
- Design and implement Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) artifacts to support enterprise engineering initiatives.
- Optimize Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and evaluate IT alternatives for GOTS and COTS solutions.
- Provide Strategic Analysis & Recommendations.
- Provide enterprise IT harmonization strategies, integrating MBSE best practices into digital transformation and assisting client with maturing their MBSE capabilities.
- Conduct complex analysis, distill insights, and present actionable recommendations to senior decision-makers.
- Support DoD engineering governance through process automation and DevSecOps integration.
- Conduct complex analysis and distill key findings and recommendations into concise, professional reports .
- Develop Digital Engineering briefings and present to customer .
- Conduct remote and / or in-person product demonstrations, as required .
- Collaborate directly with Sabel teams and the customer over MS Teams calls, chat or email to understand any concerns and gather feedback or requirements .
- Coordinate appropriate meeting times with teammates and customer , send a MS Teams invite, and join calls on-time, scheduling and attending follow-up meetings as needed .
- Maintain professional communications and appearance with customers and team members, responding to emails and participating in MS Teams calls appropriately .
- Attend daily stand-ups (DSUs), Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and any other team meetings on time .
- Manage individual daily work tasks within a Jira board .
- Other duties as assigned .
