Duties
- Thoroughly wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment to meet health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, sinks, and surrounding areas to ensure an organized workspace
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as bussing tables and handling basic food items when needed
- Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to facilitate smooth service flow during busy periods
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure hygiene compliance
- Help with general cleaning duties around the kitchen and dining areas to uphold a pristine environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations including bussing, cleaning, and food handling practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy trays or dishes up to 50lbs
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards
- Excellent teamwork skills and positive attitude in fast-paced settings
- Familiarity with catering or banquet experience is a plus but not mandatory
