About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with a strong accounting background and solid understanding of financial regulations. The ideal candidate can accurately analyze financial data, maintain effective internal controls across multiple locations, and demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills. This role requires a collaborative team player willing to support a variety of accounting functions as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements and other ad-hoc reporting as needed
- Prepare monthly closing journal entries and accruals, review reconciliations for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain fixed assets schedules and lease ledgers
- Review general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness
- Monitor and maintain strong internal controls across branches, including cash handling, inventory, and financial reporting
- Coordinate with branch managers to ensure accurate and timely reporting and adherence to internal control standards
- Assist in preparing documents and responding to requests from the Company’s external auditor
- Review Company procedures and identify and recommend operational efficiency opportunities
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus)
- Previous work in public accounting a plus
- Experience in a multi-location or branch environment preferred
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills: ability to build and maintain large excel models
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines
- Must work well in a deadline-driven environment
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
