About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Field Sales Representative to join our team in California. This hybrid role blends daily in-office responsibilities with direct field sales. The successful candidate will build strong client relationships, drive sales growth, and represent the Sabatino brand with professionalism and expertise.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with restaurants, distributors, and institutional accounts.
- Manage assigned territory and achieve/exceed monthly sales goals.
- Present and promote our specialty food portfolio, highlighting quality, applications, product benefits and pricing.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms.
- Provide in-office support by reviewing fresh truffle inventory, monitoring orders, and assisting with daily operations.
- Spend afternoons and scheduled time in the field for direct outreach, client visits, and prospecting. This will account for the majority of working hours, with a smaller portion spent in the office. Occasional travel to support the west coast territory.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities.
- Represent the company at trade shows, tastings, and culinary events.
Qualifications
- 2 years of sales experience in foodservice, wholesale, or distribution preferred.
- Strong B2B relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong rapport with chefs, high-end restaurants, institutions, and industry professionals.
- Knowledge of the food & beverage industry, restaurant supply chain, or wholesale distribution.
- Comfortable engaging with chefs, purchasing managers, and other decision-makers directly.
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through.
- Goal-oriented with a proven record of achieving sales targets.
- Reside within 30 minutes of our Culver City office.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Work Expectations
- Hybrid schedule with 60–70% of time in the field (distributed throughout the day).
- Approximately 25% in-office support; the remainder includes planning, outreach, and follow-ups.

- In-office support: checking fresh truffles, making sure orders are on point, researching opportunities and leads, and keeping daily operations sharp.
- Field hustle: walking into restaurants, shaking hands with chefs and buyers, and building long-term partnerships that fuel growth.
