Customer Service & Special Orders Specialist – Jewelry Industry
Saban Onyx is looking for an experienced Customer Service & Special Orders Specialist to join our New York team.
We are looking for someone who understands the jewelry business and can manage customers and special jewelry orders from the initial request through production and delivery.
Responsibilities:
* Manage customer service for jewelry accounts and retail partners
* Handle custom and special jewelry orders from start to finish
* Review customer specifications, stone details, metal, sizing, and design requirements
* Coordinate with CAD, production, diamond, shipping, and sales teams
* Communicate with customers regarding pricing, CAD approvals, order status, changes, and delivery dates
* Follow up closely on open orders and make sure deadlines are met
* Resolve order issues quickly and professionally
* Maintain accurate information in our ERP/order management system
* Provide a high level of service to customers throughout the entire process
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in the jewelry industry — required
* Experience in jewelry customer service, order management, special orders, production, or sales support
* Strong understanding of fine jewelry, diamonds, gemstones, metals, sizing, and custom jewelry terminology
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Highly organized and able to manage many orders at the same time
* Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
* Experience with ERP/order management systems and Excel is preferred
