For this role, we are ideally looking for a rising hospitality leader often a first-time General Manager in their early to mid-career who comes from a strong Rooms background and has a clear front-of-house orientation. Many of the strongest candidates will have grown up through the front desk, guest services, and front office leadership roles, with hands-on exposure to reservations, night audit, and lobby operations.
The right candidate will be highly visible and guest-facing, someone who naturally spends time on the floor in the lobby, at the front desk, and walking guestrooms and public spaces to maintain standards and connect with guests. We are looking for a leader who excels at guest recovery, real-time problem solving, and coaching service behaviors, including upselling and maintaining brand and service standards.
From an operational standpoint, this individual should be comfortable with rooms-focused metrics such as ADR, occupancy, RevPAR, upsell capture, and labor management within front office and housekeeping. They should work closely with rooms and housekeeping leaders to ensure cleanliness standards, room readiness, and smooth arrival and departure experiences for guests.
Community engagement is also important for this role. The GM should be someone who enjoys being involved locally building relationships with neighborhood businesses, chambers of commerce, and civic organizations and who is comfortable representing the hotel at community events and hosting gatherings at the property to drive local awareness and demand.
Leadership style is equally important. We are looking for someone who is collaborative, approachable, and communication-driven, someone who leads through regular stand-ups, pre-shift huddles, and strong team engagement. While this individual may still be developing deeper experience with full P&L ownership or complex sales strategy, they should demonstrate strong learning agility and a genuine guest-first mindset.
