Role Overview
The Front-of-House Multi-Function Associate is a critical, high-impact role at Saba.
This position blends cashiering, kitchen expediting, and food running, ensuring every guest receives the correct order, at the right time, with genuine hospitality.
This role requires strong communication, focus, and warmth. You will be the bridge between our guests and our kitchen, guiding the flow of orders, maintaining accuracy, and delivering food with confidence and care.
Our guests come to Saba not just for the food, but for the personal connection, and this role is central to that experience.
Key Responsibilities
Cashier / POS Operations
- Accurately enter guest orders into the POS system (TouchBistro experience preferred, not required)
- Ask clarifying questions to ensure orders are entered exactly as intended
- Handle modifications, dietary notes, and special requests with precision
- Maintain a calm, friendly, and confident presence during peak service
- Manage payments and guest interactions efficiently and professionally
Expediting & Kitchen Communication
- Act as the communication hub between hot and cold stations
- Guide the kitchen on: What items need to be fired, The correct firing order, Timing and pacing of tickets
- Track orders mentally and/or via our table number / order number system
- Ensure all components of an order are complete before being sent out
- Catch and correct errors before food leaves your station
- Maintain clarity and composure during high-volume service hours
Food Running & Guest Service
- Deliver food to tables using Saba’s table number system
- Handle guest needs at the table (condiments, follow-ups, check-ins)
- Clear and reset tables as needed in coordination with the team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining room environment
Guest Experience & Culture
- Greet guests warmly and build genuine rapport
- Maintain a positive, charismatic, and personable attitude at all times
- Represent Saba’s brand with pride, professionalism, and warmth
- Make guests feel known, welcomed, and remembered
- Uphold Saba’s reputation for hospitality, accuracy, and attention to detail
Required Skills & Qualities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced setting
- Kitchen experience or culinary background enhances your ability to support food preparation and service needs
