Duties
- Stock shelves with products, ensuring proper merchandising and organization for optimal visibility.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries, product recommendations, and upselling items.
- Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote new or featured products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and checkout areas.
- Supervise junior staff members when needed, providing guidance on best practices in stocking and customer service.
- Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations during transactions.
- Exhibit strong phone etiquette when addressing customer calls or inquiries.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with cashiering duties and cash handling procedures is essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
