Experience:
- Minimum of one year of experience in long-term care as a C.N.A. required.
- Develops and posts work schedules at least two weeks in advance.
- Contacts replacement personnel and modifies schedules as needed.
- Maintains an up-to-date listing of employee contact numbers for call-ins.
- Coordinates time-off requests with the Director of Nursing.
- Notifies the Director of Nursing of short-staffing situations.
- Maintains records of employees who miss shifts and produces related reports.
- Assists on the unit during emergency situations.
- Demonstrates availability and flexibility.
- Responds to on-call scheduling phone for call-offs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and concise communication.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in operating computers, fax machines, and laptops.
- Skilled in using Google Spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook.
- Knowledge of overtime regulations.
- Purchase medical supplies and maintain adequate inventory on nursing units.
