Role and Essential Functions:
The Production Technician will operate, troubleshoot, and maintain automated equipment and industrial machinery to assist in the fabrication and packaging of customized filtration products striving to meet and exceed the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory goals established for the team. The Production Technician will operate, troubleshoot, and maintain automated equipment and industrial machinery to assist in the fabrication and packaging of customized filtration products striving to meet and exceed the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory goals established for the team. Other associated responsibilities include:
- Promotes a safe working environment by ensuring equipment is in safe, working order and helps to enforce safety protocols and practices as defined by leadership.
- Daily assessment for machines on each work station.
- Cover for operators when needed.
- Keep track of clean room WIP report daily.
- FT execution (Prototype of new parts).
- Training/cross training/ re-training team members.
- Executes Preventive Maintenance plan, completing PMs to which they are assigned in addition to updating the PM plan as needed to further drive proactive, predictive maintenance.
- Actively leads and/or participates in the troubleshooting of machine operation problems and extraordinary maintenance issues with the assistance of the Maintenance team.
- Proactively drives a Continuous Improvement culture by generating new ideas and assisting with the implementation of accepted ideas, striving towards steady improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory.
- Maintain Work Orders Log of maintenance action items completed.
- Track and complete maintenance action items on monthly updated excel sheet.
- Lead monthly meeting to go over excel sheet mentioned above and add action items.
- Take part in monthly quality meeting.
- Take part in daily Huddle meeting.
- 1-3 years of manufacturing experience required; 1 years in a supervisory position preferred
- Technical degree preferred
- High mechanical aptitude
- Demonstrates excellent problem solving and analytical skills; intermediate mathematical skills preferred
- Ability to use measurement tools
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, technical drawings, and written instructions
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various sources
- Experience with computer applications such as Excel, SAP, and Word preferred
