What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Administrator position at SaaS Technologies?
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in each of the following: • Designing, implementing, and managing LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, and network topology; • Utilizing monitoring tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, etc) to manage and diagnose network issues; • Configuring and maintaining network firewalls both external facing and in support of network segmentation; • Applying security patches and updates to network devices; • Setting up VLANs and subnets; • Creating and maintaining network diagrams, configuration documentation, and standard operating procedures. Desirable Qualifications: • Possession of a *Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent in the fields of Computer Science, Information Technology, or Network Engineering; • Possession of a CompTIA Network or equivalent certification; • Minimum of five (5) years of experience implementing and supporting hybrid network configurations in support of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc); • Minimum of five (5) years of experience complying with government security standards such as NIST. Network Administrator: Roles & Responsibilities: The Network Administrator will support standard network management activities. Some likely tasks include: • Using network monitoring tools to identify bottlenecks and performance issues; • Configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and security protocols; • Installing, configuring, and maintaining routers, switches, and network equipment; • Applying firmware updates, patches, and security updates to network devices; • Implementing and managing network backup solutions; and • Documenting network configurations, policies, and procedures.
