What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at SaarGummi Tennessee Inc.?
Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector performs various tasks which could include, but not limited to inspecting & verifying, molding, trimming, bonding, cleaning, gluing, flocking, cutting, installing, and packing parts, which meet the required quality and quantity of the customer.
1st Shift:
8am to 6:30pm Monday-Thursday with the possibility for overtime
2nd Shift:
6:30pm-5am Monday-Thursday with the possibility for overtime and applicable shift premium.
This job will not begin until January the 5th of 2026.
The pay rate of $16.50 will be locked in until completion of the initial 90 days and will then increase.
Essential Functions:
· Responsible for the specific applicable process, and Inspection Instructions, of the position which includes but not limited to inspection of: molding, trimming, bonding, cleaning, gluing, flocking, cutting, installation, and packaging parts.
· Identifying and recording any problems relating to the product, process and quality system
· Reports any process and equipment problems in an expedient manner to appropriate resources.
· Troubleshoots problems with appropriate resources.
· Completes and distributes production records, including status reports, to Management Representative.
· Assists in maintaining adherence to company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.
· Responsible for participating as required by the Advanced Product Quality and Control Plan, multi-disciplinary activities and reporting of these in the customer prescribed format.
· Performs other duties as required and directed.
· Implement and assure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding all applicable governmental regulatory compliance issues.
· Adheres to company initiatives on business ethics and conduct
· Strong knowledge of Health and Safety, Environmental, 6S, and Production Information Boards
