The Strategic Implementation Specialist supports the execution of enterprise initiatives led by the Strategic Implementation Advisor. This role provides operational, analytical, and coordination support to advance SAA strategic priorities and strengthen organizational performance. This position focuses on disciplined execution, stakeholder coordination, documentation, compliance tracking, and follow-through across divisions to ensure initiatives are implemented consistently and effectively.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting process improvement initiatives and project coordination efforts within a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Experience using enterprise collaboration or project management tools to track work, monitor milestones, and support reporting.
  • Experience coordinating across multiple divisions or stakeholder groups with differing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear briefing materials and structured updates for leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Asana to coordinate cross-functional initiatives, track milestones, and generate leadership reporting.
  • Experience developing, applying, or reviewing organizational brand standards, including document templates, formatting guidance, and messaging consistency.
  • Experience supporting strategic planning or implementation efforts, including maintaining trackers, monitoring progress against defined objectives, and preparing summary updates.
  • Experience working within the U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, or another legislative branch organization, with familiarity of congressional operations and Officer organizations.

Ability to coordinate with others to accomplish goals. Skill in monitoring progress in relation to desired outcomes.
  • Problem Solving - Ability to identify problems; skill in determining accuracy and relevance of information. Ability to use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, develop effective solutions, and make recommendations.

LEADERSHIP

  • Project Management - Knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources, including monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and performance.
  • Strategic Planning - Leads and develops the SAA’s organizational strategies by setting priorities, formulating objectives, managing resources and risks, implementing plans, monitoring progress, and evaluating outcomes.

SPECIALTY

  • Administrative Support - Knowledge of planning, coordination, and execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production for the operation of a division or the SAA.
  • Human Capital Administration - Knowledge of and ability to apply Human Resource concepts, principles, and practices related to identifying, attracting, and selecting qualified individuals for employment. Knowledge of human capital concepts and strategies with the ability to apply that knowledge in support of SAA needs, goals, and objectives, including designing strategies to support leadership in planning for and obtaining necessary resources.
  • Resource Management - Knowledge of principles, techniques, and best practices related to financial, budget, contract, and inventory management and the ability to apply them to ensure persistent, responsible, and successful program operations.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, permanent. Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Must be able to work outside of normal business hours, when necessary, evenings and weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

This job is based in a typical office environment. Actual weight handled varies, but the role involves handling items including books, documents, and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. The incumbent should be capable of meeting physical requirements, which may include sitting, lifting, bending, crouching, walking, and standing.

Other Significant Factors:

  • Job does not require on-call support.
  • Job does not typically require travel outside of the Capitol campus.
  • Job may be required to report to work in all conditions.
  • Job may require various shifts, extended hours, or weekends.
