Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Direct daily shredder production to meet efficiency and volume targets
- Maintenance & Reliability: Oversee preventative maintenance and quick resolution of mechanical issues.
- Process Optimization: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Safety Leadership: Enforce strict safety protocols to maintain a zero-injury work environment.
- Team Guidance: Train, mentor, and schedule crew members for optimal performance
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing, operating, or maintaining scrap metal shredders.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical background with advanced troubleshooting abilities
- System Knowledge: Proven experience with downstream equipment and processing systems
- Industry Background: Prior experience in the scrap metal recycling industry is highly preferred
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage, lead, and develop a high-performing operations team
- Must complete pre employment physical and Drug screen
- Must pass background and credit check
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Willingness to work in both office and outdoor yard environments in varying weather conditions.
- Work Environment: Office and Scrap metal yard
- Equipment & Tools: Office equipment, general tools, and training with mobile equipment
- Physical Demand Level: Moderate
- Work Capacity: Lifting & carrying 35lb loads, head turning, bending.
- Sensory Demands: Hearing, vision, smell, touch and taste
- Hand Movements: Repetitive motions, typing
