Scale Operator/Weighmaster- Bilingual

SA Recycling, a world leader in the metals recycling and processing industry, is actively looking for a dependable and safety minded individual to join our team as a Weighmaster. As a Weighmaster you will be responsible for the weighing and grading of incoming scrap loads; operating in-bound and out-bound scales; directing drivers to the appropriate areas for unloading; facilitating payment for in-bound material; and completing all required documentation. The Weighmaster will also act as a backup to the Cashier and perform basic office tasks.

This position will work inside and outside in varying weather conditions, and SA Recycling strictly adheres to all Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Responsibilities Of a Weighmaster

• Responsible for the accuracy of all weighing (inbound & outbound deliveries);
• Generates invoices, itemize lists and tickets showing amount due, verifying weights, prices, and extensions;
• Run tape for daily tickets paid out;
• Enter customers' transactions into computers records and issue computer-generated receipts;
• Enter the correct codes for received materials;
• Maintain orderly purchasing and sales tickets;
• Responsible for end-of-day reports.
  
  
  

Qualifications Of a Weighmaster

• Compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, & SA Recycling safety, health, & environmental rules, regulations, policies, & procedures;
• Previous experience in weigh or scale operations preferred;
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) required;
• Bilingual is required (English and Spanish);
• Responsible and Punctual
• Honesty and integrity.
• Must pass Credit and background check
• Must conduct pre employment physical and Drug screen
• Responsible for the accuracy of all weighing (inbound & outbound deliveries);
