Duties
- Monitor designated areas using CCTV systems and conduct regular surveillance to identify suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Control access points by verifying credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including medical emergencies requiring CPR or first aid
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access
- Conduct routine patrols of the premises on foot or via vehicle to ensure safety and security compliance
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies as needed
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, de-escalating tensions effectively
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields is highly desirable
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Strong surveillance skills with familiarity in CCTV operation and loss prevention techniques
- Knowledge of conflict management strategies and emergency response procedures
- Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members, visitors, and emergency responders
- Physical ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods as required
