The Field Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance and servicing of water treatment systems, with a primary focus on filter rehabilitation and related field activities. This role involves frequent travel to customer sites, performing on-site assessments, repairs, system upgrades, and start-up support to ensure optimal performance of water treatment infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform field service activities for industrial and municipal water treatment systems, including system inspection, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades.
- Conduct filter rehabilitation processes such as media replacement, vessel cleaning, underdrain inspection, and resin regeneration.
- Operate and maintain equipment used in the cleaning, rehabilitation, and performance testing of filtration systems.
- Maintain accurate records of field activities, service reports, customer interactions, and system performance logs.
- Adhere to safety regulations and protocols when working with chemicals, pressurized systems, and electrical components.
- Maintain inventory and tools for on-site service; ensure equipment is properly cleaned, calibrated, and ready for use.
Education & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Clean criminal background
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with random drug testing
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and hand tools
- Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites, including occasional overnight stays
- Comfortable working in outdoor and industrial environments, including wet, noisy, and confined spaces. All necessary tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and HAZMAT gear are provided to safely and effectively perform each job
- Physically capable of lifting, climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by project schedules
