S4 Systems is seeking a skilled RCM Analyst located in Norfolk, VA to support reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) efforts for our NAVSEA clients. In this role, you’ll perform both backfit and classic RCM analysis to improve maintenance strategies and ensure operational readiness across mechanical, electrical, electronic and safety systems. This role is ideal for someone with a background in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and a strong understanding of military or maritime systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Backfit and Classic RCM analysis in accordance with MIL-STD-3034A and related Data Item Descriptions (DIDs).
- Analyze system functions, failure modes, and maintenance requirements to optimize performance and safety.
- Develop and update maintenance documentation including Maintenance Requirements Cards (MRCs), Functional Block Diagrams, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Lubrication and servicing requirements, Inactive equipment maintenance plans, Corrective maintenance reports and Class Maintenance Plans (CMPs)
- Support validation of maintenance procedures onboard vessels without impacting equipment integrity.
- Respond to PMS Service Requests (PSRs) and perform approved updates in PMSMIS.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders to review and implement recommended changes.
- Prepare project summaries and documentation for approval and integration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3–7 years of experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), preferably supporting military or maritime solutions.
- Certification in US Navy Level 1 Backfit Analysis and Level 2 Classic RCM Analysis
- Familiarity with Navy maintenance systems and documentation standards (e.g., OPNAVINST 4790.4D, NSTM Chapter 670, NAVSEA 4790.8 Series).
- Ability to work in varied environments, including onboard vessels and in outdoor conditions (temperatures below 32°F and above 90°F).
- Physically able to walk, climb, and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Active Secret Security Clearance is required or the ability to obtain one
