About the Role
This is a full-time hybrid role based in the New York City metro area, with flexible work-from-home options. The attorney will manage an independent caseload of Automobile Liability and Premises Liability matters, typically 50–60 cases depending on experience. Responsibilities include evaluating liability exposure, assessing injuries and damages, and analyzing categories such as pain and suffering, medical expenses, and lost earnings. The role involves regular virtual and in-person court conferences, depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations. The attorney will be expected to provide timely written updates, detailed case assessments, and ongoing communication to clients. Collaboration with partners, experts, and fellow attorneys will be required to develop effective litigation strategies and ensure consistent case management.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate liability exposure
- Assess injuries and damages
- Analyze categories such as pain and suffering, medical expenses, and lost earnings
- Conduct regular virtual and in-person court conferences, depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations
- Provide timely written updates and detailed case assessments
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients
- Collaborate with partners, experts, and fellow attorneys to develop effective litigation strategies
Qualifications
- 2–10 years of experience handling Automobile and/or Premises Liability matters (defense preferred)
- Experience drafting pleadings, motions—including dispositive motions—and responding to discovery
- Strong deposition experience (taking and defending)
- Ability to perform detailed legal research and develop well-supported recommendations
- Confident courtroom presence and strong advocacy skills
- Self-starter with excellent communication habits
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State Bar

Pay range and compensation package
