Delivery Assistant/Warehouse Helper

Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Delivery Assistant/Warehouse Helper, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations both in our warehouse and during deliveries. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting with loading, unloading, and moving products, as well as supporting delivery drivers on route. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help us deliver exceptional service to our customers while maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.

Duties

• Assist with loading and unloading goods using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring heavy items are moved safely and efficiently
• Support delivery drivers with route driving, helping to load trucks, verify deliveries, and ensure timely drop-offs
• Help organize warehouse inventory, stock products, and maintain cleanliness to optimize workflow
• Load and secure packages into box trucks or other commercial vehicles for delivery routes
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by communicating professionally and addressing customer needs when required
• Follow safety protocols during manual lifting, moving heavy items, and operating equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks
• Support the team in maintaining accurate delivery logs, inventory records, and safety documentation

Requirements

• 1099 Contractor (you are responsible for paying your own taxes from income earned)
• Must pass a background check and obtain a DOT medical card (requires a physical with a drug screening)
• Prior experience in warehouse operations or delivery driving is highly preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for 3 years - experience with commercial driving and box trucks is a plus!
• Proven ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of goods safely
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks or similar equipment is desirable; certification is a bonus
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during deliveries and warehouse interactions
• Experience with courier or delivery driver roles is advantageous
• Excellent time management and route driving skills with attention to safety and efficiency
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, move items frequently throughout shifts (40lbs - 400lbs)
