- Monitor premises using CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property, including entrances, exits, parking areas, and interior spaces to identify potential security risks or hazards.
- Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents or disturbances, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations peacefully.
- Provide assistance and directions to visitors and staff, fostering a positive environment through excellent customer service.
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and security checks through comprehensive reporting.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary, providing clear communication during emergencies or investigations.
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting suspicious behavior immediately.
- Support safety initiatives such as first aid response or CPR when trained and certified, ensuring preparedness for emergencies.
Experience
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
- Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems enhances effectiveness in monitoring premises.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential for de-escalating tense situations.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, or law enforcement are advantageous but not required; willingness to obtain relevant certifications is appreciated.
