Position Title: Cyber Security Specialists
Position Overview:
S2Technologies is actively seeking a Security Specialists to lead our security engineering and administrative support for an existing Microsoft 365 Cloud Environment within the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Our support services include integration, management, security, and optimization of key services including Power Platform, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, AvePoint Online Services, Exchange Online, Teams, and Microsoft Copilot. The support includes configuration management and troubleshooting of these MS365 platforms to provide optimal functionality and user experience. The security lead will ensure security system policies, processes, and engineering is documented, conducted, and followed.
Responsibilities:
- Expert in security of the M365 Cloud Suite
- Oversee and manage security-related administration and analysis
- Document and manage Security Change Requests and audit logging solutions
- Provide security and cyber architect support
- Assist with AvePoint Online Services security setups (tenant-to-tenant, encryption, IP restrictions)
- Ensure all processes, plans, schedules, and other written documents are completed timely
- Collaborate with systems staff for secure integration with SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange, and Azure
- Provide bi-weekly and monthly security/status reports
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' experience supporting Microsoft 365 (M365) Cloud Based Suite in a large corporate/government environment
- Extensive experience in M365 security and governance practices
- Experience managing user permissions, data retention, and compliance settings
- Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Defender, AvePoint security configurations
- Documenting and managing Security Change Requests and audit logging
- Knowledge of cyber architecture and best security practices
Technical Skills:
- PowerShell, .NET, Exchange, Intune, Azure AD, Azure ecosystem
- Experience with Defender, Copilots, Purview, and AOS
Communication:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to explain security/technical concepts to technical/non-technical audiences
Required Security Clearance: Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance is required; however, it is not mandatory at the time of hire.
Education: Education: Minimum requirement: high school diploma. Bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred.
Salary Range: $80,000 to $150,000
Location: Primary remote (on-site as necessary)
