Position Title: Solutions Engineer/Architect
Position Overview
S2Technologies is actively seeking a Solutions Engineer/Architect to provide overall technical leadership and guidance for a program for the US Army. This role joins a high-performing team dedicated to modernizing and sustaining a cloud-native solution aligned with CMMI Level 3 processes. The Solutions Engineer will help evaluate, prioritize, and coordinate technical activities, with a strong focus on implementing new enhancements to support evolving Army operational needs.

The Solutions Engineer will help evaluate, prioritize, and coordinate technical activities, with a strong focus on implementing new enhancements to support evolving Army operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering, design and technical security activities and support the rest of the team
- Support security posture of the application
- Lead development efforts for the application
- Managing CI/CD pipelines
- Work with senior developer in planning releases
- Lead infrastructure design and implementation
- Oversee technical requirements and their execution
- Bachelor's in Information Technology, computer science, project management or related field. The equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
- AWS certified Solutions Architect, professional
- Qualifying DoD 8570.01m Certification (IAT-II) (e.g., Security )
- More than 3 years of experience providing IT support services
- Must live in National Capital Region
- Ability to develop application code in the application stack
- Experience with Accumulo, Hadoop, Zookeeper, and Postgres
- Experience with JBoss, Angular, Java, Springboot and Linux
- Experience with large data infrastructure systems and deployments
- Ability to produce graphics and written documentation for the system
- Ability to lead meetings and discussions with client teams, other programs and internally
- Experience with intelligence community (desired)
- Excellent business communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Discipline to complete tasks while working remotely or telecommuting
- DoD background (desired)
- Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
