Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Accounting Specialist to support our day-to-day accounting and billing operations. This role is ideal for someone who can manage multiple responsibilities independently, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, and ensure accuracy across financial and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and manage vendor invoices received via mail, email, and vendor platforms
- Reconcile vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies as needed
- Enter vendor invoices into QuickBooks for processing and payment
- Perform check and remittance matching
- Maintain organized filing systems and provide general administrative support
- Update customer-facing charges based on vendor billing (e.g., revisions, technician dispatches, equipment fees)
- Set up new sites and services in the billing system
- Deactivate terminated sites and services in the billing system
- Assist with service disconnections
- Coordination of modem returns including dropping boxes off at FedEx/UPS/USPS (car required)
- Provide project support on an as-needed basis
- Validate billing addresses
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Basic knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative
