Job Description: Commercial Truck Detailer
Position Title
Commercial Truck Detailer
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Commercial Truck Detailer to join our team. The Commercial Truck Detailer is responsible for cleaning and detailing the interior and exterior of commercial tractors, trucks and cars. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring vehicles meet company cleanliness and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform exterior cleaning, including pressure washing, degreasing, and decal removal.
- Clean and sanitize vehicle interiors, including dashboards, seats, floors, windows, and sleeper cabs.
- Remove dirt, grease, road grime, and other contaminants from vehicle surfaces.
- Apply protectants, cleaning agents, and detailing products according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Inspect vehicles for damage and report maintenance or repair needs to supervisors.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Operate pressure washers, vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other detailing equipment safely.
- Ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Follow company policies and environmental guidelines regarding chemical handling and waste disposal.
- Meet productivity and quality standards while maintaining attention to detail.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid Driver’s License required, Class A CDL preferred.
- Previous vehicle detailing, truck washing, or fleet maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use detailing products safely.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, twist, push, pull, climb (including up ladders), kneel, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to climb on and around commercial trucks safely.
