Description
Position: Day Care Attendant
Department: Day Care
Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Days Vary - Winter Only
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The overriding and most important function of each and every employee is to either directly (by interacting with the guest) or indirectly (by providing the key support role to the guest experience) strive to provide the finest in friendly service and quality products.
- Provide safe environment for guests' children at all times
- Open and close facility as per instructions
- Register children participating in program: -Explanation of program to parents; -Name tags for child & cubby
- Fit child with boots & skis
- Prepare children for morning and afternoon ski lesson
- Prepare & serve morning and afternoon snack and lunch
- Supervise play time and nap time
- Prepare for and accompany children to outside play area
- Assist them with skis
- Responsible for maintaining overall cleanliness of Day Care area – occasionally using cleaning agents
- Prepare charges for parents
- Handle monies: cash & charges
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed, or may be required to assist in other departments
Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be bondable and pass background check by law enforcement agencies
- Must take and pass a Child and Infant CPR and Choking Class
- Must have a caring and concerned attitude for the safety and well-being of children
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to maneuver over snowy surfaces
- Must provide adequate clothing for weather conditions
- Must possess basic child care skills for diaper changing, feeding and napping
- Must be able to handle conflicts that arise
- Must be creative and organized
- Must be positive, energetic & helpful toward fellow employees and guests
- Must follow all procedures and guidelines as stated in the employee handbook
- Must be flexible in work schedule
