Title : Azure Solution Architect

Location : Indianapolis , IA , Location: Should be willing to work from Customer’s Indianapolis location on a hybrid basis

1.     Role Summary

Tata Elxsi seeking an experienced Azure Solution Architect to lead the architecture, scalability, security, and cloud engineering strategy for an enterprise-grade, AI-driven Optimization Platforms deployed on Microsoft Azure.

·       The ideal candidate will design and govern a scalable, secure, high-performance, and future-ready cloud architecture, enabling advanced scheduling, optimization, and data-driven decision-making capabilities across the enterprise.

·       Experience Level: 12 years of overall experience in software architecture and with 5 years in Azure Solution Architecture.

2.     Key Responsibilities

1.     Azure Cloud

·       Define and implement end-to-end architecture on Microsoft Azure.

·       Design scalable, resilient, and highly available cloud-native solutions.

·       Establish architecture patterns aligned with Azure best practices, including microservices and event-driven architectures.

·       Design and enforce API-first architecture principles.

·       Develop microservices or modular architecture frameworks for flexibility and scalability.

·       Ensure reusability, maintainability, and performance optimization across services.

2.     Data & Integration

·       Architect robust data integration frameworks, including scalable integration with Snowflake.

·       Design ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows using Azure Data Factory or equivalent tools.

·       Integrate with enterprise systems such as:

o  ServiceMax

o  ERP platforms

o  External enterprise APIs and data providers

3.     AI & Optimization Platform

·       Design and implement scalable architecture for constraint-based scheduling and optimization engines.

·       Enable execution frameworks leveraging: Google OR-Tools, Route optimization models

·       Define architecture for AI/ML systems including:

o  Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

o  Vector databases

o  Azure AI Foundry and OpenAI services

·       Establish MLOps pipelines for model lifecycle management.

4.     Security & Governance

·       Implement enterprise-grade security frameworks including Azure Entra ID (Azure AD) and Single Sign-On (SSO), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

·       Multi-tenant isolation strategies

·       Define secrets management using Azure Key Vault.

·       Ensure alignment with organization enterprise cloud standards, regulatory and cybersecurity policies

5.     Stakeholder Management & Governance

·       Collaborate with enterprise architects, IT leadership, and governance teams.

·       Lead architecture review boards and design workshops.

·       Present architecture roadmaps, solution designs, and technical strategies to stakeholders.

·       Drive alignment between business requirements and technical execution.

1.     Required Technical Skills

·       Strong expertise in Azure services: Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure Data Factory, Azure Service Bus, Azure Key Vault and Azure Entra ID

·       Data & Analytics:

o  Experience with Snowflake integration and cloud data warehousing.

o  Expertise in ETL/ELT pipelines and multi-tenant data architecture design.

·       Backend Development:

o  Proficiency in Python-based backend systems.

o  Experience with: FastAPI / Flask / .NET APIs, RESTful API design and development

·       Frontend Architecture

o  Experience with Streamlit, React framework.

o  Knowledge of modern UI architecture patterns and frontend design principles.

·       AI / ML & Optimization: Hands-on experience in:

·       MLOps pipelines and practices

·       RAG architectures and vector databases

·       Optimization tools such as Google OR-Tools

·       Optimization and scheduling algorithms

·       Azure AI Foundry and OpenAI ecosystem.

·       DevOps & Engineering Practices: Experience with

·       Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions

·       CI/CD pipeline design

·       Docker and containerization

·       Preferred Domain Experience:

o  Life Sciences, Healthcare

o  Manufacturing Analytics, Logistics Optimization, Workforce Scheduling, Predictive maintenance, Industrial and Process Automation,

o  Enterprise SaaS Platforms, IoT

·       Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Azure Certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert)

2.     Leadership Skills

·       Strong executive communication and presentation skills.

·       Proven ability to work in cross-functional and globally distributed teams (onshore/offshore).

·       Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities.

·       Experience in mentoring and guiding engineering teams.

·       Ability to influence stakeholders and drive architectural alignment.
