Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Rig Manager to oversee operations and ensure the efficient functioning of our rigging processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, along with excellent leadership and customer service skills. This role is critical in maintaining high safety standards while managing a team of technicians and ensuring that all equipment is operational and well-maintained.
Duties
- Supervise daily rig operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage a team of service technicians, providing guidance and support in troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
- Oversee the assembly, fabrication, and installation of rigging equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, performing maintenance tasks including welding, soldering, and heavy lifting as needed.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service throughout the rigging process.
- Utilize schematics to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions for mechanical or electrical problems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory management for all rigging equipment.
- Train team members on best practices for operating machinery and using tools safely.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar role within the rigging or manufacturing industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, assembly, fabrication, and repair tasks.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, including the use of ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Experience working with heavy machinery and performing heavy lifting tasks safely.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure accuracy in measurements.
- Previous military experience is a plus but not required; however, candidates must demonstrate strong leadership capabilities.
