Description
S&S Tire/Best One, a leading multi-location regional commercial tire & trailer servicing dealer, is seeking an experienced Certified Mechanic in our Charleston, WV Commercial location.
This position requires schedule flexibility for extended work hours and overtime, up to 60 hours per week. This position also requires you supply all your own mechanical tools, be able to weld and run torches.
Duties includes but not limited to:
- Perform accurate diagnostics on commercial trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles.
- Complete mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, electrical systems, wheel-end components, and general drivetrain issues.
- Conduct preventive maintenance services according to manufacturer and company guidelines.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues; document needed repairs.
- Perform wheel-end inspections, hub and bearing repairs, and torquing procedures to DOT standards.

Requirements
- Current Automotive/Truck Mechanic certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial, fleet, or mechanical repair work
- Strong understanding of hydraulics, brake systems, suspension, and electrical diagnostics
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus but not required
- Must be available for frequent overtime
- Be able to lift 75-100 pounds.
- Must be able to run torches and be able to weld
- Supply all your own mechanical tools
- Must be willing to work outside and on different sites
- 40 hour card
