Description
S&S Firestone, Inc.* is one of the largest independent tire distributors in the U.S., with over 1 million square feet of inventory. S&S Tire has over 550 employees across eighteen states, with the business focusing in three business sectors: wholesale, commercial, and retread. We are looking to add an Inventory Controller to our Nashville, TN Wholesale Team.
The Inventory Controller position will include responsibilities like managing tire stock levels, conducting physical counts and cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, using inventory software to update records, and coordinating with purchasing for replenishment. Key duties also involve ensuring proper storage and handling, monitoring incoming and outgoing shipments, analyzing inventory data, and generating reports for management.
Key Responsibilities
- Track all incoming and outgoing tire shipments, ensure accurate system entries, and maintain physical organization of the stockroom or warehouse.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits, research and resolve discrepancies, and ensure physical stock matches system records.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including item details, quantities, and locations, using inventory management software.
- Work closely with the purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and generate regular reports on stock levels and performance for management.
- Help develop and implement procedures to optimize inventory control processes, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to verify accuracy and quality.
Requirements
