TITLE: Powder Coater
DEPARTMENT: Powder Coating
REPORTS TO: Exhaust Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY:
Assist with all phases of powder coating operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Thoroughly understand and adhere to the department goals, objectives, and strategy
Establish and maintain credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions
Present and maintain positive morale amongst employees
Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices
Assures efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement methods, and elimination of wasteful practices
Perform all duties within the Powder Coating cell, including application of powder, cleaning, inventory control & accuracy, packaging of parts, and shipment of product
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experienced working as a powder coater or equivalent production experience
Flexible, energetic, forward-thinking, and creative with high moral and ethical standards
High analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus
Well organized and self-directed
Able to relate to people at all levels of the organization in a positive fashion
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; working knowledge of computer applications
Ability to use hand tools, air tools, and have some forklift experience
Have good mechanical ability
Lift up to 50 lbs repetitively throughout the day
Able to perform repetitive tasks in a fast paced work environment and maintain consistency
Be able to work in a team oriented environment
Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred in related field
