Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Duties
- Record and reconcile all financial transactions using accounting software
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently to ensure timely payments and collections
- Prepare journal entries, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify accuracy of financial data
- Process payroll accurately, including tax calculations and compliance with relevant regulations
- Assist with budgeting, financial report writing, and month-end closing activities
Experience
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Hands-on experience with popular accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or comparable platforms
- Knowledge of payroll processing, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting
- Familiarity with GAAP standards, governmental accounting practices (if applicable), and non-profit accounting procedures
- Ability to work efficiently with spreadsheets and financial concepts while maintaining high accuracy in data entry (including 10 key typing skills)
- Strong understanding of debits & credits, journal entries, account analysis, and financial reporting techniques
- Prior experience working in public accounting or corporate finance environments is highly desirable
