Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including manual transmission trucks, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized vehicles.
• Follow planned routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups.
• Load and unload cargo with manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper securing of freight to prevent damage during transit.
• Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations when handling dangerous goods or hazardous materials.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
• Deliver freight efficiently while managing route driving responsibilities and adapting to traffic or weather conditions as needed.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driver roles.
• Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and familiarity with various vehicle types such as flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
• Knowledge of logistics cargo handling procedures for freight including hazardous materials regulations and dangerous goods protocols.
• Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely during load & unload operations.
• Experience with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning.
• Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and safety standards related to commercial truck driving.
• Physical ability to perform load & unload activities and handle freight securely.
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance in all aspects of trucking operations.

Pay: From $0.65 per mile
