AP/AR Specialist
Location: Phoenix, AZ (I10 and University)
Work Arrangement: Full-time | 100% Onsite
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Compensation: $29.00-$32.00 per hour
We're partnering with a well-established, family-owned company that is looking to add an AP/AR Specialist to its accounting team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering $29-$32/hour, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position for someone who proves to be a strong long-term fit.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment where they can support both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions while playing an important role in the day-to-day operations of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Import vendor invoices into Bill.com, ensuring invoices are coded accurately and scheduled for payment according to vendor terms.
- Process accounts payable transactions, maintain vendor records, and assist with payment processing.
- Support Project Managers with customer billing, invoicing, payment follow-up, and account inquiries.
- Apply incoming customer payments to open invoices and prepare journal entries to accurately record payments.
- Assist with day-to-day accounting activities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Work closely with internal team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
Qualifications:
- 3-7 years of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience.
- Experience with Bill.com is preferred.
- Construction or trades industry experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Dependable, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a collaborative, family-owned business environment.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Phoenix.
