We are a small and very unique outdoor camp for children ages 8-15, currently seeking Lifegurds/Counselors for our sleep away camp. Our Camp Counselors are kind, empathetic, thoughtful, and fun adults who are responsible for caring for the health and well-being of a cabin full of campers for the summer. Counselors live in cabins with 5/6 campers. They help campers adjust to camp life, develop community with their cabinmates, navigate the daily schedule, and develop the skills to be successful anywhere. In addition to supporting campers’ daily routines, Counselors work as teaching assistants in activities and collaborate with other counselors and camp directors. Ideal candidates will have good energy, a passion for working with children, spending time in the outdoors, and a dedication to lifelong learning. Camp is hard work, but also fun and rewarding for the entire community.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hold responsibility for the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of campers; this includes:Develop healthy and appropriate relationships with campers
- Conduct daily check-ins with campers. Manage risk and maintaining the safety of campers Provide direct supervision of campers as assigned
- Live in cabins with campers; support campers in daily living routines and facilitate meal times
- Assist with the facilitation at activity/experience areas
- Co-Plan and execute cabin time, evening activities and special events
- Be an active member of the Camp community; e.g. participate in the camp set up and take down
- Uphold the Camps mission and valuesLearn and uphold Protocols as stated in Camp Staff Handbook
- Learn and uphold off campus Protocols as set forth by Camp
- Instill joy and enthusiasm into the daily life of camp

Position Start Date: June 19, 2026
Position End Date: July 13, 2026
Starting Salary : $2000.00, increases based on prior leadership experience
- Incentives: free room & board, $200 Refer-a-Friend bonus, potential Lifeguard Certification reimbursement.
