Job Summary
The Supply Planner II will be a strategic and detail‑oriented individual to optimize supply chain operations, strengthen demand planning processes, negotiate, and enhance inventory performance in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong analytical skills, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives that align supply with organizational goals. Reports directly to the Procurement Manager.
Job Functions
- Manage end-to-end supply chain planning, ensuring alignment between customer demand, production capacities, and inventory strategies.
- Responsible for the administration of inventory management and materials planning for all supply components and materials using SAP, the company’s enterprise resource planning system (ERP).
- Maintain and improve rolling forecasts, leveraging data insights to optimize supplier inventory control and reduce excess stock.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, implementing corrective and preventive actions. Provide analysis of cycle counting results.
- Analyze the scope of routine problems and resolve or provide information for resolution.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time fulfillment of materials.
- Support new product introductions and packaging changes, ensuring seamless material transitions, supplier readiness, and production alignment.
- Optimize inventory levels across multiple warehouse locations to maintain adequate safety stock and support production schedules. Minimize carrying costs.
- Execute and monitor Supply agreements based on spend and volume.
- Update daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports relating to supply items and production planning.
- Communicate supply concerns to the Procurement Manager
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain workflows, strengthen communication, and drive operational efficiency through packaging performance.
- Manage the lifecycle of non‑conforming packaging materials, from identification through final resolution. Initiate supplier corrective and preventative actions. Maintain clear communications with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding disposition of non-conforming materials and the effect on the production plan.

Job Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory control, demand planning, or related roles within manufacturing or Consumer Packaging Goods (CPG) environments.
- Strong expertise in demand planning, supply planning, and inventory optimization.
- Advanced data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong supplier relationship management, including corrective action follow-up, negotiation, and performance oversight.
- Proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives and drive measurable operational results.
- Demonstrated success in resolving supply discrepancies, reducing inventory liability, and supporting production efficiency.
Preferred Skills (not required)
- Bilingual in English / Spanish
- APICS certification
