As an HVAC Technician Helper, you will work alongside our HVAC service technicians to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial equipment.

As an HVAC Technician Helper, you will work alongside our HVAC service technicians to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial equipment.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with performing assigned HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting task safely in commercial and industrial settings on various types of split systems, packaged rooftop, rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, pneumatic, electrical control systems, and other mechanical equipment
- Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and repair of commercial HVAC equipment as needed
- Assist with diagnosing causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components as needed.
- Use your HVAC skills and experience to assist with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining medium to large sized complex heating and cooling systems and associated control systems.
- Utilize electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools to maintain systems
- Complete required electronic documentation daily on a handheld device
- Work independently, and as part of a team, to complete assigned tasks within an allotted time frame
- Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 or more years’ experience performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on commercial mechanical equipment preferred
- EPA universal certification preferred
- OSHA 10 hour preferred
- Maintain a positive, cooperative and teachable attitude
- Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.
- Complies and promotes company Safety Policy
- Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter.
- Regular and punctual attendance. Ability to work overtime if needed (and approved)
- Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening
- Ability to pass MVR check (if applicable) or must have reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a physical ability test
- Ability to travel, as needed, for projects
