Duties
- Operate lawn mowers, power tools, hand tools, and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently to perform mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning tasks.
- Maintain landscaped areas by planting, watering, fertilizing, weed control, and pest management to promote healthy growth.
- Assist with landscape installation projects.
- Perform groundskeeping duties such as leaf removal, snow plowing during winter months, and debris cleanup to keep properties tidy year-round.
- Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care; recognize signs of pests or disease for timely intervention.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while operating equipment like excavators or tree trimmers to prevent accidents and injuries.
Experience
- Prior outdoor work experience preferred; familiarity with grounds maintenance or landscaping is a plus.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and landscaping equipment operation required.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification, pruning techniques, and soil management is advantageous.
- Ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols while working with equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, or snow plows.
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills related to landscape maintenance and groundskeeping practices.
