Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, backhoes. This role involves working on various construction projects, ensuring safety and efficiency on-site. Candidates with strong mechanical knowledge and construction site experience are highly preferred. The Excavator Operator will play a critical role in supporting our construction operations and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes.
- Perform precise digging, trenching, lifting, and material handling tasks in accordance with project specifications
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Assist with site preparation and excavation activities
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment as needed
- Adhere to construction schedules and project deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience operating excavators and other heavy equipment such as , loaders, backhoes, graders.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred or required depending on the role scope
- Construction site experience is highly desirable
- Ability to operate Caterpillar machinery or similar brands
- Excellent safety awareness and adherence to OSHA regulations
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy loads when necessary
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
