Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Customs Broker Entry Writer role based in Valley Stream, NY. The individual will be responsible for preparing and submitting customs documentation for imported and exported goods in compliance with regulations. Key responsibilities include processing import/export entries, ensuring timely customs releases, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with clients, customs authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transportation and delivery of goods. Strong customer service and organizational skills are essential for ensuring client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience in Customs Brokerage, including the preparation and submission of import/export documentation
- Knowledge of Import and Export regulations, policies, and procedures
- Understanding of International Trade practices and compliance requirements
- Strong Customer Service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in industry-related software is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field preferred
- Relevant experience in freight forwarding or supply chain management is highly advantageous
