Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate traffic control activities across construction sites to ensure safety protocols are followed
• Manage traffic control personnel, providing clear instructions and ongoing training on safety procedures and equipment operation
• Implement and adjust traffic management plans in accordance with project requirements and local regulations
• Oversee the setup, maintenance, and removal of traffic control devices such as cones, barriers, signage, and flagging stations
• Monitor site conditions continuously to identify potential hazards or disruptions, taking immediate corrective actions
• Collaborate with construction teams, safety officers, and local authorities to facilitate smooth traffic flow and site access
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards related to heavy equipment operation including dozer, loader, backhoe, grader, dump truck, front loader truck, and paving machinery
• Conduct regular inspections of traffic control equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns

Experience

• Proven experience in construction site management or traffic control supervision within a heavy civil or infrastructure project setting
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation including dozer, loader operation, backhoe operation, grader operation, paving machinery, and dump trucks
• Familiarity with utility locating procedures and safety standards for working around underground utilities
• Prior experience with construction site safety protocols and traffic management plans.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise diverse teams effectively
• Valid certifications in flagging or traffic control are preferred; relevant experience can substitute where applicable

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
