What You Will Do:
As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of piping systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. Your role will involve interpreting blueprints, fabricating and assembling pipe systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to determine the layout and materials for piping systems.
- Install, assemble, and secure pipes, valves, fittings, and other plumbing fixtures as per project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to coordinate installation timelines and project goals.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Stay up to date with building codes, industry standards, and best practices related to pipefitting work.
What We are Looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 4 years of field experience as a Pipefitter. Completion of a Pipefitting apprenticeship program is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of pipefitting tools, techniques, and materials.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, and technical documents.
- Experience with various pipe materials such as PVC, copper, and steel, and their appropriate joining methods.
- Skilled in cutting, threading, fitting, and welding (including butt weld and socket type joints).
- Familiar with pipe welding and fabrication techniques.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
- In-depth understanding of Building and Mechanical Codes.
