SandH Youth and Adult Services Inc. in Salisbury, NC is currently hiring for a Substance Use Counselor for our Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program. Responsibilities
Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP) counselor facilitates structured individual group, and family group addiction counseling activities and services on an outpatient basis. SAIOP is designed to assist adults and adolescents to begin recovery and learn skills for recovery maintenance. The program counselor assists the SAIOP participants by providing individual and group counseling, case management, and life skills education. SAIOP group must be offered at least 3 hours a day, at least 3 days a week, with no more than 2 consecutive days between offered services. SandH Youth and Adult Services, Inc. SAIOP counselors offer group Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and/or 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
Qualifications
High School Diploma and/or equivalent with 1 year of Substance Abuse treatment experience; or North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board Registrant
Must be 18 years of age or older with the ability to read, write and understand how to follow instructions.
May not have any substantiated findings of abuse or neglect listed on the North Carolina Health Care Personnel Registry
No Sex Offender Chargesand no violent criminal charges
One Year Of Supervised Substance Abuse Counseling Experience Preferred
