About the Job
We’re hiring a detail-oriented Deburr Technician to support precision aerospace manufacturing at S&H Machine. This is a hands-on, shop-floor role focused on removing burrs, refining surfaces, and ensuring parts meet strict quality standards.
Whether you're entry-level or highly experienced, this role offers steady hours, strong benefits, and a clear path for growth. Higher levels include advanced inspection, tool maintenance, and the opportunity to train and lead others.
What You’ll Do
- Remove burrs using grinding wheels, speed cutters, and hand tools
- Use deburring knives and pneumatic tools for precision edge finishing
- Operate drill press with burr tools to break edges and refine features
- Sand and blend surfaces using Vertex tools and sandpaper
- Inspect parts using microscopes and illumination equipment
- Read and follow work instructions, work orders, and blueprints
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure quality
- Maintain tools and replace worn or defective equipment
- Keep work area clean, organized, and well-lit
- Support R&D and continuous improvement initiatives
What You Need
- Experience in deburring, grinding, or manufacturing (level-dependent)
- Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Familiarity with inspection tools and techniques
- Experience with scope work deburring
- Ability to resharpen tools (Level 3–4 preferred)
- Ability to train and lead others (Level 4)
Physical Requirements
- Stand and work on your feet for extended periods
- Use hands and tools with precision and control
- Lift and move up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 30 lbs frequently
- Good vision, including close-up inspection work
