Driver/Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Driver/Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience operating various types of vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive a variety of vehicles including dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tankers.
• Ensure safe loading and unloading of freight while maintaining proper weight distribution.
• Follow designated routes for timely deliveries and pickups.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery schedules.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding any issues or delays encountered during routes.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations governing commercial driving.

Skills

• Proficient in driving manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience with 26 footer box trucks is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and freight handling.
• Ability to operate shoulder dollies safely for loading and unloading purposes.
• Familiarity with hauling appliance operations and unload off truck functionalities.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

Pay: $180.00 - $200.00 per day
