Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Carpenter's Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist experienced carpenters in various construction and remodeling projects. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. As a Carpenter's Helper, you will gain hands-on experience in the carpentry field while contributing to the successful completion of projects.
We are seeking local individuals who want to work hard in a team-based environment, earn a competitive wage, and expand their knowledge and ability in the carpentry trade. Training will be provided. Job sites are local, within 15 miles of Old Saybrook. Basic tools and transportation are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Assist carpenters in constructing and/or rebuilding residential structures, both interior and exterior in varying weather conditions
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to safety standards
Requirements:
- Experience or willingness to learn skills such as remodeling, trim carpentry, framing, siding installation, etc.
- Reliability and dependability are a MUST
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work under the guidance of experienced carpenters
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks effectively and safely. This includes lifting/handling of lumber, supplies, etc.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- A proactive and positive attitude towards learning new techniques and improving skills in carpentry
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
