Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Execute floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing to ensure floors are polished and well-maintained.
- Prepare surfaces for waxing by thoroughly cleaning and stripping old wax layers as needed.
- Use environmentally friendly cleaning products to uphold safety standards and promote sustainability.
- Follow established janitorial protocols to ensure all areas meet health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition and report any repairs needed promptly.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred
- Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing is a plus.
- Knowledge of environmental services practices or commercial cleaning standards is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
