S. Clyde Weaver, Inc., a Lancaster County food retailer offering the finest smoked meats, cheeses, baked goods, and prepared foods since 1920, is seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Food Service Equipment Repair Technician. This position assists the Facilities Manager with diagnosing, repairing, and installing new food service equipment. Monday - Friday; 7:00am - 3:30pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose and fix issues with various food service equipment such as ovens, meat slicers, refrigeration units, dishwashers, etc.
- Install new equipment while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
- Implement routine maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment and minimize downtime.
- Maintain and monitor inventory of necessary parts and supplies.
- Log repairs, services performed, and any related information.
- Other duties as assigned by Facilities Manager.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Professional interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
- Strong mechanical and technical skills.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
- Problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work independently.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to follow directions.
- Proficient with or ability to learn the following software programs: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions
- Employee is regularly exposed to various temperature changes while walking in and out of coolers.
- Ability to bend, reach, climb, and stand for periods of time.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry various weights up to 50 pounds.
